Donnie Drake, of Boise, ID sent this photo of his 1947 Willys Overland Jeepster. As you might guess this is the "after" photo This is 50' Willys was started on back in '85. After Donnie and his Dad's '78 blazer was totaled, they saw that the frame was still straight, so off came the mangled body. The search for a new body turned up a Willy's Overland Jeepster found in the Nevada hills. It was full of "bullet holes and left for dead". After the owner was located, he accepted a case of beer in exchange for rights to the Willys. After frame mods and a little cutting here and there, it all fit. This has all the Blazer running gear - complete with a propane-powered 350. With the Blazer full time 4x4 and a short wheelbase, coupled with 40-inch Monster Mudders, it's like driving a big go-cart. Countless hours were spent doing body work and finding parts. These father and son projects sure bring you close together. Twenty years later - it's still not finished
